APRIL 2010 A leading practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming gave out some top tips on one of today's current buzz words - 'Emotional Intelligence'. Kate Rigby who runs a management consultancy is an experienced trainer and group facilitator in the area of culture and attitude change management, as well as being a qualified counsellor and Master Practitioner of NLP. Kim Gilmour, publicity officer said: "Kate gave us a fascinating presentation on how we process information depending on a whole set of criteria from our experiences to our perceptions, culture and upbringing. This means if you can communicate with people understanding that they may perceive your approach in many different ways it can be useful and give you the edge in business. A lot of this involves listening more skillfully to what people are saying and changing the way you communicate on a more individual basis." The next meeting will be on April 12th (first Monday is a Bank Holiday) and will be a presentation by Sandra Ball, aka the Lavender Lady. Sandra will be talking all things Lavender, the various types, its properties and the items that she makes and sells. Sandra tours the country promoting Lavender. Find out how she made her passion into a business by joining the Shropshire Business Women at 7.15pm for 7.30pm at the Buckatree Hall Hotel (see downloads for directions). First time visitors are welcome free of charge, complimentary refreshments are served. |
