Shropshire Business Women have enjoyed a lively programme of events at their monthly meetings at the Buckatree Hall Hotel in the Wrekin. Kim Gilmour, Publicity Officer said: "Events this year have included a fascinating study into handwriting with some interesting traits revealed, we have also had topical discussions on how to 'green up' our businesses and make them more environmentally friendly and the positive sides of a recession." SBW events also include interactive sessions like a complementary health forum with taster sessions from three holistic therapists, a 'dress for success' session with a leading colour and style consultant and an interactive web site event which included information on how to make the most of social networking sites. Kim said: "The highlight of our social calendar is the annual 'Posh Frocks' charity dinner which this year raised over £800 for Hope House Children's Hospice and was a thoroughly enjoyable evening with good food, good company and an excellent after dinner speaker, Shirely Tart, MBE." Business women whether self employed or working within the public or private sector are welcome to meetings which are held on the first Monday of every month 7.15pm for 7.30pm. Tea and coffee is available free of charge. The venue is the Buckatree Hall Hotel at the Wrekin near Telford with free parking.
